The Australian reported yesterday that Pakistan's security agency, the ISI, is now reporting directly to the PPP Prime Minister Gilani and not to Musharraf. I'm not sure its as simple as that. Under what authority the transition could have been made is up for question and the independent nature of the ISI means that its unlikely to be pushed around. This simplistic view is unlikely to be telling us the whole story.
